What is the ValkPro+ system?
The ValkPro+ is a ballasted frame designed to mount panel at 10° in landscape on a flat roof. It is cost effective and available from UK stock usually on 2-3 days lead time.

What is the row spacing?
The row spacing from the front of one row, to the front of the next row, is 1500mm. This is fixed and cannot be adjusted.
Do we need to allow a border around the roof?
Yes, you will need to allow a border of at least 1m around the edges of the roof. The edge zone depends on the roof dimensions and height, and for some systems a border of more than 1m will be required. When we prepare the wind load calculations we advise the edge zone required for your project.
What are the options for mechanically fixing to a membrane roof?
The Jual console fixings are manufactured using a sample of the roof membrane. The Jual console is installed by heat welding to the roof, then the ValkPro+ carrier profiles can be fixed to the roof using torx screws.
In order to quote for supply of the Jual console fixtures we will need to know the model of roof membrane, and the roof specificaiton. There is typically a lead time of 4-6 weeks for supply of the Jual console fixings. In most cases you will need to supply a roll of the roof membrane which will be used to manufacture the consoles.

Do we need the side panels?
No, the side panels are not included as they don't affect the wind loadings significantly. The side panels are available as an optional extra for aesthetic purposes only.
Do we need to make any special allowance installing on a PVC membrane roof?
Yes you will require protective mats to prevent the rubber tile carriers reacting with the roof membrane. These are an optional extra and can be added to your quotation.
What is the maximum roof height for the ValkPro+ system?
The ValkPro+ system is suitable for installing on roofs up to 20m height. If the roof is higher we would need to run a calculation and would usually recommend a mechanical fixing.
What information do you need to help us calculate the wind loads?
We need to know a few things to run a wind load calculation:
Do we need to split large frames to allow for temperature dilation?
Large frames need to be split to allow for temperature dilation of the panel frames and carrier rails. They must be split every 30m in the east to west direction, and they also need to split every 60m in the north south direction. A small gap of 100mm is sufficient to allow for dialtion of the frames.
Which panels are compatible?
The ValkPro+ frame is suitable for panel length 1559 - 1675mm and 1950 - 2000mm.
