How is the Vortex Energy Saver different from a radiator air vent?

A radiator air vent removes air that can build up in your heating system. This helps you save energy and reduce corrosion caused by large air bubbles.

The Vortex Energy Saver takes things a step further and also removes almost all of the Oxygen that is dissolved in your radiators.

Here is a graph produced by the Tralee Institute of Technology which shows how the level of dissolved Oxygen in a heating system was greatly reduced by the Vortex unit after running just 20 hours. Dissolved Oxygen was reduced by more than 80% compared to baseline. [1]

This provides an immediate energy saving because the heat transfer of the water in your radiators is improved when the dissolved air is removed. Your boiler will need to run for less time which saves you on your energy bills.

In the long term removing the dissolved Oxygen reduces corrosion which lowers your maintenance costs.

The Energy Saving Trust reported that corrosion can reduce system efficiency by 15%. [2] The Vortex Energy Saver reduces corrosion – this keeps your system running more efficiently and saves you more money.
