Greg Barker, the former energy secretary and now BPVA president, has criticised the evidence base used to compile the current feed-in tariff proposals and pleaded with Amber Rudd to listen to the industry’s submissions.
Despite the DECC's continued reasoning that the proposed fits reductions are "to keep bills as low as possible for hardworking families and businesses" DECC figures show that increased renewable generation is having little bearing on energy prices.
